Services
for Employers
Everyone
says they’re good. What real evidence can you provide?
We agree
that there are lots of firms out there claiming to be
“all things to all people.” Kind of like
being on the used car lot. XL is different.
Since 1989, we have worked hard to establish a long-term
track record of excellence. Our track record is your
assurance of our performance. Here is what Dun &
Bradstreet (D&B) had to say about us:
A Dun &
Bradstreet Past Performance Evaluation utilized
independent input from 9 of our customers to rate us against
the average scores of 34 competitors in the categories of:
-
Timeliness:
delivery
of service in promised time periods
-
Problem
responsiveness
-
Quality of
purchased service
-
Total cost
-
Technical
support
-
Attitude of
supplier personnel
Dun &
Bradstreet’s rating scale is from 1 to 5, with 1 equating
to “Exceeds Expectations” and 5 equating to “Below
Expectations.” In all categories we were rated higher than
our competition, with an overall D&B rating of 1.06,
nearly a perfect score.
How
do I initiate working with XL Associates?
We appreciate the value of your time and pride ourselves on
making the process as painless and efficient as possible.
Contact us at (703) 848-0400. We will work hard to
earn your trust.
Here are a few
tips, which will optimize the probability of a good fit:
-
Have a
budget in mind for your requirements, and take the time
to secure the requisite budgetary approvals. We have
found that this process can often take longer than
expected, which sometimes results in the loss
of potential candidates to other projects.
-
Define a
clear statement of work, job responsibilities, and projected
assignment longevity.
-
Inform us of
any requirements specific to your organization regarding
dress code, core hours, organizational dynamics or
overtime.
-
Generally
speaking, the more relevant information you can provide, the
better the likelihood of us providing you with
the “right person” for the “right
job.”
How
long will it take for XL to satisfy my requirements?
Our
goal is to begin delivering excellent support within 24
hours of receiving your initial request. If
highly specialized skills are required, the timing will
depend on the availability of suitable candidates. Other
mitigating factors may include your budget for the work
required, the location of your facility, the length of the
assignment, and your internal review process.
How
do I prepare for an on-site XL employee’s first day of work?
There are no hard and fast rules here, but generally, the
more you can do to make our on-site employees productive,
the faster they can become contributing members of your
team. Here are a few recommended tips:
-
Prepare a
specific workspace and ensure the required materials for the
job are available.
-
Prepare your
staff (including administrative) for our arrival so that we
can minimize the time required to integrate into your
workflow.
-
Give
immediate feedback to us if there are any problems with
the assignment or if you are not completely
satisfied with our performance in any respect. NOTE: If
we have not heard from you by the end of the first week
on site, we will follow-up to ensure we are meeting your
expectations in all respects.
How
much will this cost me?
We prefer to think of this as how much we can save you. On
the surface, it may seem that contracting for on-site XL
employees is more expensive than hiring employees yourself. However,
there are numerous hidden costs associated with payroll,
administration, and benefits, which make the use of contract
employees help more cost effective. A few of
these costs include:
-
Mandatory
Payroll Taxes: FICA, SUTA, SUI & Workers
Compensation.
-
Administrative:
recruiting, paperwork, record keeping and payroll costs.
-
Paid Time
Off (PTO): vacation, holidays, sick time.
-
Recruiting
& Retention Costs
-
Other
Benefits: health insurance, bonuses, etc.
At XL, we
understand that “one size does not fit all” and we have
designed specific fee and payment structures to meet your
individual needs. We can be a key partner in effectively
addressing your requirements for procurement professionals,
either on a contract-to-hire, direct hire, or interim basis.
We are a very cost-effective alternative to the expensive,
time-consuming process associated with permanent hires
(estimated to be up to 40% of starting salary). Please contact
us for more information.
What
happens if the on-site XL employee does not work out?
We are very confident in our ability to locate, screen and
deliver high-quality procurement professionals to your site.
If however, for any reason you are not completely satisfied
the performance of our on site employees, please notify us
immediately and we will arrange a suitable replacement.
How
else can XL help me?
A key part of the value XL will add is to give you honest
feedback on the feasibility of what you are requesting,
based on the variables you have outlined. Since we are very
active in the job market, day in and day out, we can help
you ascertain the “pulse” of current market conditions.
XL is committed to a relationship based on mutual trust,
professionalism and integrity. We work hard to cultivate
long term, mutually rewarding relationships are committed to
meeting your needs. We only succeed if you are
succeeding—we are on the same team.
